Fun in the Sun

Zoe was playing in the last bit of sun for the evening. I had my camera so started playing with light and angles and settings.

Got this lovely shot that I did my best to edit. Not sure how "on" the post processing is but I had fun.

In the 9th month

living in Florida and loving it even with some crazy surprised and changes.

After a bit of a slump with photography I'm trying to get back to working on this. I've been a bit preoccupied I'd say.

A few snap shots in the past week. As you can see my little unwilling model got a dramatic haircut too.

DId a little moving across country.

Its been awhile since I uploaded any photos here. But, my daughter and I took on the long 2 days of driving to Nashville, TN. We stayed for 2 weeks but ended up moving on to Florida where we are now for the past couple months getting settled. I've been out of work a couple months now. Finally found a job but in the past few days have really seen more improvements in my photos which is exciting. I'm hoping to squeeze a few new "toys" in my tax refund budget. I'd love to get a new lens but also want a speedlite perhaps and some more background paper and maybe a stand or can build one, plus I've been using trial of the Adobe Lightroom 2.2 and really love it... so not sure I want to shell out $300 for it though especially when that can go towards a nice new lens. Lots of decisions!

My tiger and a recent fav

One of our triple trouble threesome of kittens chasing the ball on their ball track. This is my hyper boy "Tiger" he thinks he's a tiger thats for sure. Super active always running around getting into something. His brother and sister are much more calm lap cats.

A sampling of Zoe's school work. They were learning the word "my" and really drilling in numbers and letter writing practice. She loves doing her homework and does all 4 sheets of her homework usually on Monday night instead of one a night like its designed. Nuts!


A Zoe original she says she wants to be an artist when she grows up. She loves drawing. This her duck drawing. Too sweet.... AWWWW This was on her magnadoodle, after learning that littlest pet shop figures make great drawing tools on it as well because of the magnet in the paw. hehe

Zoe was so excited about going to this wall to take pictures. LOL She didn't want to leave but I felt odd enough using a public building for photos. I guess I should break this weird feeling about it.

1st day of Kindergarten

Well its official my baby is all grown up into a big Kindergartener. She is so loving it too. She just adores school, all her friends she talks about 6 or 7 classmates constantly. These photos were from her first day back on August 11th.

5th birthday

Only a month late, hehe Better late than never. So here goes a parade of photos from Zoe's 5th birthday party. We celebrated at Chuck E Cheese. Fun!!! huh? I know she doesn't look like it in many of the photos but she had a blast.
